The Business area HEXPOL Compounding is one of two business areas within HEXPOL AB. HEXPOL Compounding is one of the world’s leading companies in the development and production of advanced, high-quality rubber compounds and thermoplastic elastomers (TPE), and is one of only a few truly global companies in the industry.
The head office is located in Eupen, Belgium. It functions as a service provider for the worldwide compounding operations coordinating the following services: Research and development coordination, Global customer agreements, Global supplier agreements, Engineering, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Quality systems and Training.
The worldwide compounding operations include eighteen operation units, of which Gislaved Gummi is one, all using the company’s fully integrated production process. The business area has more than 1 600 employees and a total worldwide production capacity of nearly 560.000 tons per year.
All sites feature some of the most advanced processing lines in the industry. Customers of the HEXPOL Compounding business area comprise rubber product manufacturers who place high demands on performance and global delivery capabilities. The largest market segment is the automotive industry, followed by building and construction. Other key segments include cable, water management, pharmaceutical, and energy and oil industries.
